The Em-trak I100-X Identifier is a rugged Class B AIS transponder which is fully self contained with its own internal battery or external power option. It is perfect for small craft (including kayaks) that want the safety of knowing they will be seen by other AIS equipped vessels.
The Em-trak I100-X Identifier can operate for 120 hours from its internal battery and takes only 5 hours to recharge. The Em-trak I100-X includes an SOS button for emergencies, sending a SRM (Safety Related Message) to all nearby vessels. It is rated to IPx8 to survive the toughest outdoor environments.
The Em-trak I100-X Identifier requires the same programming as other AIS units, including MMSI, Vessel Name, Call Sign (or Rego), Vessel type (Sail, pleasure or commercial). The I100-X does not including the programming hardware when purchased but can be purchased separately, alternatively Picosense can program the I100-X before shipping for a small fee ($50)
